Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten Orientation, Thursday, August 19th  – This is parents only event where the teachers will give you specific information about their class.

Junior Kindergarten: Thursday, August 19th, 6 pm – 6:30 pm in the Bishop Sullivan Room.

Kindergarten: Thursday, August 19th, 6:45 pm – 7:15 pm in the Bishop Sullivan Room.

Meet the Teacher Day is Monday August 23rd – This day is for parents and students to bring their school supplies to the homeroom and meet their teacher. Students do not need to wear uniforms on this day. Times vary by grade level as indicated below. 

Grades JK – 5: Parents will receive an email with instructions for signing up for a time window to go to the classroom.  The times will be between 8:30 am and 12:00 pm.

6th grade Student and Parent Orientation: 9 am – 12 pm in the Parish Hall.

New 7th & New 8th grade Student and Parent Orientation: Join the 6th grade Student and Parent Orientation Program from 11 am – 12 pm in the Parish Hall.

Faithful Citizenship Resources In anticipation of Election Day on November 5, the Virginia Catholic Conference has prepared voter education resources to help Catholics confidently vote with an informed conscience. Those resources can be found on the Catholic Diocese of Richmond's website . School Day Reminders This year, Election Day is a regular school day with a regular bell schedule at Saint Mary's Catholic School. In prior years, it has coincided with Parent-Teacher Conferences resulting in a day-off for students; however, that is not the case this school year. Many of our students across all grade levels are aware of the importance of Election Day. We anticipate the days leading up to Election Day and those following it will provide topics of conversation that students may choose to engage in both inside and outside the classroom. If necessary, our teachers may offer age-appropriate explanations of the day's events and results. As family members, we encourage you to guide your children as they navigate their thoughts and feelings over the coming weeks and months.
