Monarch Virtues
Daily, here at Saint Mary’s, we encourage our students to live in Christ’s likeness. Monthly, our faculty votes for students in grades JK – 8 who, through their actions and words, have most resembled Christ through the virtues reflected above which are also IB Learner Attributes.

For the month of August 2024
Caring learners appreciate culture and personal history, and the perspectives of others. They also show empathy, compassion, and respect toward the needs and feelings of others. Caring learners have a personal commitment to service, and they act to make a positive difference in the lives of others and to the environment. Inquirers develop their natural curiosity. They acquire the skills necessary to conduct inquiry and research and show independence in learning. They actively enjoy learning, and this love of learning will be sustained throughout their lives. Congratulations to the following students in each grade!

Open Minded learners understand and appreciate their own cultures and personal histories, and are open to the perspectives, values and traditions of other individuals and communities.
