Financial Aid

To Apply

Please review the Financial Aid Brochure (or Spanish Financial Aid Brochure) to learn more about the forms of financial assistance available to Saint Mary’s Catholic School students then use the FACTS Online application to submit your financial aid application.

Available Resources

Saint Mary’s Catholic School is supported through tuition and donations from parishioners, school families, benefactors and others who recognize and support the unique character and mission of the school. The students and families of Saint Mary’s are incredibly grateful for this support.

Resources made available through the Diocese of Richmond and the Parish of Saint Mary’s are allocated to families based on an analysis conducted by an independent company (FACTS). It is therefore very important that applicants follow the procedures and deadlines as described in the links above.

Financial assistance comes from five primary sources:

McMahon-Parater Foundation
The funds made available through the foundation are administered by the Diocese of Richmond and are available to families of all faiths. Awards are made by the Diocese of Richmond based on financial circumstances.

Parish Sharing Program
The funds made available by parishes of the Diocese of Richmond (including parishes without schools) are administered by the Diocese of Richmond and are available to all Catholic families. Awards are made by the Diocese of Richmond based on financial circumstances.

Saint Mary’s Parish
Saint Mary’s Parish makes available funds for financial assistance. The funds are administered by Saint Mary’s School. Awards are made based on financial circumstances.

Future Full of Hope Scholarships
This scholarship provides up to 50% scholarship and was made possible by a generous donation of $1,000,000 to help families afford Catholic school education. Eligibility requirements: Catholic & New to SMCS.

Education Improvement Scholarships Tax Credit Program (EISTC)
Saint Mary’s participates in the McMahon-Parater EISTC program. For additional information, please see the Diocesan website's section on
