In the coming weeks and months we have some fun, spiritual, and special events planned for our soon-to-be graduates. We are especially grateful to our 8th grade parent committee for their hard work fundraising and coordination efforts leading up to their big day. This page will be updated, so please bookmark it for future reference!
To begin, if you have not done so already, please complete this survey to share important information related to your student’s graduation and their planned participation in the events below.
Graduation Photos: We have scheduled a photographer to come and take your child’s photo in his/her graduation gown as well as the option to take his/her picture in his/her “Sunday best”. The photos will take place on Wednesday, April 24 during the school day. Fundraising efforts will cover a portion of the cost. The cost of the photos for families will be $10/student. Many thanks to Sara Cristin Photography for the beautiful gallery images!
Baby Photos: Our baby photo to grad slideshow will be shown during the post-Graduation Reception, but you can catch a sneak peek here.
Spring Sing : On Friday, May 3 during Spring Sing (10:40 a.m.), 8th grade students who have been working with Mrs. Moretti on a showcase piece will perform at that time.
Graduation Rehearsal : We will have rehearsal on Wednesday, May 29 after exams. The students will have rehearsal and lunch (provided). Pick up will be 1:30 p.m.
Spiritual Retreat & Fun Day:
The eighth grade class will have a retreat and fun day on Friday, May 31 . They will attend a spiritual retreat first; this portion of the day is mandatory for all 8th grade students.
Afterwards, they will go to Kings Dominion. The cost of the ticket is being covered by the 8th grade fundraising that has taken place this year. However, if any families are season ticket holders, there is an opportunity in the survey for you to indicate if your child does not need a ticket, as well as, if you can volunteer to drive and chaperone at Kings Dominion.
Field Day: All Middle School students will assist with elementary field day on Monday, June 3 then have their field day on Tuesday, June 4 .
Final Mass: All eighth grade students are expected to attend the final school Mass on Wednesday, June 5 at 9:00 a.m.
