Eating Disorders & Scoliosis

In 2013, Virginia passed a law requiring every school system to provide educational information to parents annually about eating disorders and scoliosis. This information is provided every year for parents of current students in fifth through eighth grades.

Both scoliosis and eating disorders are serious health problems that usually start in childhood or adolescence. The earlier they are diagnosed and treated, the better the outcome.

Please take the time to read the information linked below. After reviewing the information attached, if you think your child may be showing signs of either disorder, please contact your primary health care provider or the Saint Mary’s Catholic School Clinic Nursing Team at (804) 741-8790 for additional information and support.
