CHRISTMAS PROGRAM DETAILS

Katie Botha • November 11, 2022

The Saint Mary’s Catholic School 2022 Christmas Program will take place on Thursday evening, December 1st. Students in our school choir along with students in grades JK, 1, 3, 5 and 7 will be performing songs of the season alongside a reenactment of the Nativity Story.

If you have any questions about this event, please contact our Music teacher, Danielle Moretti.

Performance Arrival & Timing

Please plan to drop your student off at 6:30pm in the front entrance so they may go to their classrooms and line up. Please take all jackets and belongings with you into the church so that the students do not need to worry about carrying them.

The program begins at 7:00pm and should be about one hour long.

Student Dress Code

General Dress: Please, no blinking lights or silly hats as the evening’s performance is of a more serious nature.

Girls :   Dresses, skirts or slacks and a nice top in the following colors: red, green, white, black, silver or gold.

Dress and skirt length must be appropriate for tag day dress code; tights are recommended.

Please no jeans and no leggings as pants (underneath a dress or skirt is OK). Shoe heels may not be higher than 1 inch.

Boys :   Long formal pants must be worn (uniform pants are fine). Please no jeans or shorts. Boys should wear the same color scheme on top as girls (red, green, white, black, silver or gold) such as a button-up dress shirt or collared shirt with a nice sweater. Ties are optional.

Uniform sneakers are fine as long as they are clean and in good shape. Other more formal footwear is preferred, if possible.

Faithful Citizenship Resources In anticipation of Election Day on November 5, the Virginia Catholic Conference has prepared voter education resources to help Catholics confidently vote with an informed conscience. Those resources can be found on the Catholic Diocese of Richmond's website . School Day Reminders This year, Election Day is a regular school day with a regular bell schedule at Saint Mary's Catholic School. In prior years, it has coincided with Parent-Teacher Conferences resulting in a day-off for students; however, that is not the case this school year. Many of our students across all grade levels are aware of the importance of Election Day. We anticipate the days leading up to Election Day and those following it will provide topics of conversation that students may choose to engage in both inside and outside the classroom. If necessary, our teachers may offer age-appropriate explanations of the day's events and results. As family members, we encourage you to guide your children as they navigate their thoughts and feelings over the coming weeks and months.
