Saint Mary’s students and staff celebrated St. Patrick’s day with “wearing of the green,” as well as the traditional annual visit by the Greater Richmond Pipe and Drums Band and the Shamrock and Thistle Dancers.  The morning began with a demonstration of bagpipes and Irish dancing.  See video of the performance.  Also, the Shamrock and Thistle Dancers left information on lessons. This was a grand day.  Many thanks to those who made the celebration festive with their green accessories, the Pipe and Drum Band, and the Dancers. And, of course, our younger students fashioned binoculars and searched for the leprechauns.  Tricky those leprechauns, we weren’t able to catch one again this year.
