Spring Robotics is finally here!  Our Theme this year is called “Nature’s Fury”.  Students will learn about not only about how to program and build a robot, they will learn about”Nature’s Fury such as hurricanes and tornadoes.  Registration is now beginning for Spring Robotics.   Students will also have exposure to both the classic NXT Robot as well as the new and recently released EV-3 Robot.  More information about the program is below.

When?  Wednesdays and Thursdays starting the week of March 10th    We will meet for three weeks and then take an extended break from April 16th- May 1 because of Spring Break and during the week of our May Crowning,   Art Show, Grandparents day, and Spring Sing.  We will then continue with the program the week of May 6th-May 31st.  We will end on May 31st with a mini Competition.  Please note that Christopher Newport will be hosting a mini competition and we are going to try and take part in it.  This isn’t set in stone yet, but we are very hopeful that students will be able to compete.

Where?  Computer Lab and Mrs.  Valdepenas’ Room from 3:00 pm-4:30.

Cost?   Cost is $200.00 to help pay for materials, Lego shirts, and our transportation to Newport News.  We will also buy new legos for the program.

How do I register?
Below you will find a document that you can print out and register.  Please send in payment with your registration.  Please send it “Attention” to either Mrs. Clopton or Mrs. Valedepenas.
