Constitution Day Collection for Texas Relief Effort: As coverage of Hurricane Harvey was consuming most TV newscasts, Jackie Moore, a member of our SMCS community, waited for news from her sister-in-law, who lives in Texas. The Miller’s home in Texas withstood the hurricane, but as we all know many others were affected. Our collection of $1,303.85 was raised from Constitution Day, a day dedicated to thanking God for liberties and participating in activities which demonstrate patriotism and celebrate our rights and privileges as Americans. The money raised from our celebration will go directly to the relief efforts in Texas.
