First Day of School Early Dismissal: Please Read
Lunchroom Volunteers are needed: We need your help in our Cafeteria! Duties include, but not limited to, distributing milk, help with opening containers, noise management (we are starting a new system this year!), promoting positive behaviors. Giving our wonderful teachers a chance to refuel for the afternoon!
Times will be the following:
11am-11:40am (1st-5th Grade)
11:40am – 12:20pm (Kindergarten & Middle School)
We are looking for two parents/shift. If you’d like to work both shifts in the same day, we’d love it! A sign up Genius will be out soon.
Morning Drop off for school Duty: It is important that our students are safe at all times. We need six parent volunteers in the morning to assist students exiting cars for school. At each drop off point two parent volunteers, open car door for student, make sure they have belongings, close car door and send parent on their way. A sign up Genius will be out soon.
New Families Virtus: Attendance is required to volunteer at Saint Mary’s Catholic School. This is for adults only and for our new Volunteers. If you have already attended a VIRTUS class, you do not need to attend this class. Class will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 6:30pm. Volunteer background screening is now part of our registration process.
Protecting God’s Children for Adults: (class 510 Richmond) at Saint Mary’s Catholic School/church, Bishop Sullivan Room, starting at 6:30PM lasting 3 hours (arrive 10 minutes early for registration), only 30 spaces are available. Reminder Students Entering 6th Grade: A Tdap Booster is needed, prior to the beginning of school.
SMCS New Band Program: Greater Richmond School of Music offers instructors that have received degrees from some of the finest music schools and performed with major orchestras, jazz ensembles, and chamber ensembles. Instruction time during school and fees are similar with our previous band program. Additional, information and specifics will be sent to families soon.
