PARENTS:

Please keep these families in your prayers:  They have experienced tragedies and our support in prayer is needed.

Our tutor Liza Fierro-Cioffi  lost her home to a fire on Friday March 31. The family is safe, but their home was a complete loss.

Our school counselor Lucy Norton and her husband Kevin have experienced the loss of their baby on Tuesday April 4th.

Sometimes in this crazy, mixed up world, when our hearts are grieving and we’ve suffered devastating blows, when loss feels too deep, and the battle seems fierce, the most comforting words of all are just these 2:

“Jesus wept.” John 11:35

Monarch’s Of  The Month for March:

Theme = Be a RISK-TAKER:  Your independent spirit allows you to explore new roles, ideas, and strategies.  You are COURAGEOUS, but not reckless.

Third Grade – Ricky Short, Matthew Osborne and Sutton Olesen

Fourth Grade – Matthew Faraci and Andrew Seavey

Sister Nancy Murray:

Sister Nancy Murray, OP (sister of actor Bill Murray) will be at Saint Mary’s on Wednesday, April 26 to perform her one-person show, Catherine of Siena: A Woman for Our Times.

Sister Nancy Murray, is making her mark on audiences across the country and throughout the world, bringing to life the Dominican Saint Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Church. With simple props and a fertile imagination, Sister Nancy portrays Catherine as the colorful, strong, passionate and enthusiastic personality that she was. Thanks to Sister Nancy’s gift of transforming herself into this 14th century saint and patroness of the Dominican Order, numerous churches, schools and organizations have become acquainted with Catherine’s fierce devotion to and love for God.

Tickets are $5 online or $10 at the door, and are available here or at the school front desk.

Saint Mary’s GALA:

April 29 at the Historic Jefferson Hotel!   Tickets are going fast and only a limited number still remain.  Tickets are on sale until April 21st or until we sell out.  To get your tickets, click here to register.

One of the new biggest live auction items is a “Wall of Wine” which will include over 100 different bottles of wine for the lucky winner.  We are asking all Saint Mary’s School families to donate at least one bottle of wine to this important auction item.  You can drop off your bottle of wine anytime to the front office OR drop it off at the Saint Joseph statue after morning drop-off this upcoming Tuesday, April 11th.

NEW! This year:  We are honored to have Saint Mary’s own The Remnants Rock-n-Soul band providing live music for the silent auction and dancing during the Gala.

For any questions, contact Mike School at saintmarygala@gmail.com.

Change for Haiti Boxes:  This lent, here at St. Mary’s, we are focusing our outreach on our twinning relationship with St. Benoit de Angouman parish and school in Haiti. The needs are great!! We are hopeful to complete a building already begun that will shelter our medical/dental team, enhancing their ability to provide maximum service to our sisters and brothers there, as well as to complete out project to bring enough potable water to this remote village. We are working in partnership with our parish Human Concerns Ministry /Haiti Outreach to help to achieve these goals.

BOXES CAN BE BROUGHT IN Holy Week April 10 through 14, to your students homeroom
