NEWS/EVENTS/NEED TO KNOW:

NEW – Vision Screening Results:  Vision screening results from the Thursday Oct. 11th screening for students in grades 1,3,5,7 and new students in grades 2,4,6 and 8 are being sent home with students today. If your child was referred for follow-up, their result information was mailed home earlier this week. If you have any questions or concerns, please email clinic@saintmary.org or call the clinic 741-8790.

Emergency Student Lunch: Please know any student who forgets their lunch will receive our emergency lunch.  The cost is $3.00.  If you do not have a Boonli account you will receive a bill which needs to be returned to your students homeroom teacher with payment. Billing will begin starting November 2018.

Trunk Or Treat:  Monday 5:30 – 7:00PM October 29th Join us Costumes, Fun, Candy, Games & Movies and food trucks, so bring money!!! Click HERE for the full details.

Middle School Knights of Columbus Halloween Dance:  October 26th in our school gym.  Parents must walk students in and come in to pick them up at the end of the dance.    Please use the Middle School back door to enter and exit.  A permission slip is required, PERMISSION SLIP  to attend the dance.

Boonli CLOSES Monday For Ordering Lunches:  Families can order lunches for November from October 17 through October 29, 2018.  Join us for our THANKSGIVING BUFFET on November 20, 2018.  Place your Thanksgiving Buffet order for the total number of family members attending on your students lunch order. Families with more than one student, please add total number attending to one student order.   For families that do not order school lunch, click HERE for the Thanksgiving Buffet form.  Please note the deadline to order is 10/29/2018.

NEW – Thanksgiving Buffet:  Don’t forget to join us for our annual Thanksgiving Buffet.  Our very own Chef Gene will be preparing a wonderful traditional meal for us to enjoy.  This time is for us to share and give thanks as a school community.  See ordering instructions above.

NEW – Parent Teacher Conferences: Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity for teachers and parents to share information and discuss strategies designed to motivate and encourage students to learn.

November 8,  3pm – 7pm
November 9,  8am – 3pm

For the 2018-2019 school year, Parent-Teacher conference days are scheduled for Thursday, November 8th and Friday, November 9th. Due to the large number of available conference “slots,” separate sign-ups have been created for each teacher. To allow for more convenient scheduling for families with multiple students at St. Mary’s, families with 3 or more children are allowed to schedule times on 10.29, followed by 2 children families on 10.30, followed by open scheduling available on 10.31. Families will be emailed the teacher links to sign-up for an available time.

NEW – After School Care On Parent Teacher Conference Day:  If you are needing care on November 9th, please sign up by clicking HERE.  The hours for operation on this day are 7:30am-6:00pm. Please remember to send a packed nut-free lunch and drink with your child(ren).  The deadline to sign up for care is November 5th. Help Us Celebrate Our Veteran’s:  Our Veteran’s Day Assembly will be on Monday, November 12th, at 2:00, in the Church. The assembly is for grades 2-8. The speaker this year is Mr. Richard Gasperini. Mr. Gasperini is the grandfather of Matthew, Thomas, James, Mary Grace, and Genevieve Gasperini, and is a US Army veteran.  Please click HERE for the Veteran’s Day Salute and a letter explaining the salute, the salutes are due by November 5th and will be displayed at school.

“St. Mary Catholic Church Registration” Parish registration takes place monthly on Sunday afternoon at 12:30 pm in the Bishop Sullivan Room.  During this one-hour program you will meet other parishioners, our Pastor and staff, receive an introduction to St. Mary’s Parish and complete the registration documents.  Child care and refreshments are provided.

Our next registration will take place on November 4th, 2018.
