2019/20 School Year Flynn O’Hara Pop Up Sale: Every summer Flynn O’Hara offers a “Pop-up Shop” for families to be sized, view samples and order uniforms for the new school year. The date for this year’s Pop-up Shop is June 20 from 9-11.
Earlier in the school year a committee of parents was formed to discuss the current uniforms. A few minor changes were suggested that I think you will like:
- JK-5 girls — Fall/Spring seasonal option — Navy skort paired with light blue polo
- Middle School — Brown Sperry/boat shoe option for both boys and girls
- All school — Navy leggings — no SMCS screen print required
Combining the upgraded HVAC in the renovation and providing the skort/polo addition, we are able to eliminate the PE uniform option on hotter days.
Attached you will find the flyer for the June 20 date as well as a comprehensive description of our uniform options.

NEW – Borrow Summer Reading Books!: Summer 2020 we would like to offer a new service to parents and students: a summer reading shelf. It will function like the clothes exchange closet. Parents and students who are done with/outgrown their summer reading books from previous years will bring them in and take ones they need. In order to start building up a library, we ask that parents and students start bringing in books now. Our hope is that by next summer we will have a substantial library from which you can borrow. Please clearly mark any books you bringing in “Summer Reading Shelf “, for Mrs. Henning.

Middle School Day Camp hosted at Our Lady of Lourdes. Each summer the Richmond area parish Youth Ministries work together with Diocesan support and sponsorship, to offer a Middle School Summer Day Camp for rising 6th-8th Graders. The goal of the camp is to build community, grow in knowledge of the faith, and encounter Christ through prayer and sacraments. This high-energy themed camp is filled with fun games, service activities, small group discussions, time for prayer, and a pool day. Although the day camp is run by adults, high school students serve as counselors throughout the week to help guide group activities. We hope you’ll consider joining us. Please turn forms and fees into Mr. Jenkins or Mrs. Stapleton at the Parish Offices.
