Saint Mary’s text messaging provider (Signal Engage) has notified the school that their services will no longer be active as of March 31, 2015.  Due to this notice, Saint Mary’s will be switching to a more robust and feature-rich system (SchoolMessenger).  The new system will allow for text messages as well as emails and phone calling for both routine communications and emergency notifications.  Saint Mary’s will not be utilizing the automated telephone call capability at this time, but will be using the text messaging and email as soon as the system is ready to deploy.

The first step in the process of transferring to the SchoolMessenger system involves insuring accurate contact information for student guardians.  All parents wishing to receive both routine and emergency notifications from the school are asked to complete an online registration process by Tuesday, March 31, 2015.  Only those students registered in the system by this deadline will be included in the initial setup of the system, which will be activated soon after Easter Break.  Additions to the system will be restricted after the initial implementation until such time as the system is stable and fully able to add new contacts.

Once the initial data is loaded, guardians will be required to “opt in” to the new system.  You will receive instructions on how to complete the process to opt in when the system is activated.

To register for the system, please complete the Registration Form online between March 26, 2015 and March 31, 2015.  The system tracks information by student, so a new form must be completed for each child currently at Saint Mary’s.  Once you click “done” at the end of the form, the system will clear the form and allow for another student to be entered.  Guardian information must be duplicated for each additional student entered – a burdensome, but unfortunately necessary task.

Thank you for your assistance in converting to this new communication system.
