The playground will be closed on November 7th and 8th to allow a tree service to bring in the heavy equipment necessary to make the tree canopy safe. This work is scheduled by parish staff on a regular basis to keep dead limbs from falling and to insure the health of the trees.
In addition to the tree work, the school has been in contact with the original designer and installer of the equipment. We are currently contacting the manufacturers of the play equipment to obtain pricing for replacing the slide, any deteriorating posts, and some broken or missing parts. It is a priority of the PTO to fund playground equipment this year, so we can look forward to updating the playground while improving the safety of the area. A very special thank you to all who have been working on the playground efforts as we look forward to seeing progress over the next few months.
