Sunday! We were in line to go to Mass at 7:30 AM. Mass was at 10:00 AM! But, the line was hundreds of thousands of those wanting to attend the Mass for the Closing of the Jubilee of Mercy on the Feast of the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. The weather was perfect, and we were most fortunate to enter Saint Peter’s square in time to get great seats.
The Mass was celebrated by Pope Francis, with all of the Cardinals and many others in attendance. At the conclusion of the Mass, Pope Francis expended an apostolic blessing, and our Rosaries and other religious items were blessed by the Pope. Pope Francis then got into his “Popemobile” and rode around the square for all to see. What a very special day!
