Saint’s Day Parade: What Saint will you be? It is time to think about choosing a Saint (or Biblical person) and designing a costume for our annual student Saint’s Day parade. Students will gather in the parking lot (parents are welcome) and proceed to Saint Mary’s Woods to “trick or treat.” This year’s Saint’s Parade will be on Monday, October 31. More information to follow.
Saint Mary’s Marketplace: Good news! Just in time for the Christmas season, we are bringing back the Saint Mary’s Marketplace. Please join us December 1 at 6pm in the Upper Commons for some fun, fellowship and…shopping!
We would also love to fill the space with as many Saint Mary’s vendors as possible, so please consider signing up your business and showcase your products to fellow school and church families.
Please contact Heather Crouch for additional information at hcrouch93@comcast.net
Click below for our Vendor Agreement form for the 2016 Marketplace, please return the form by November 11, 2016.

Altar Server Training: Saint Mary’s church is inviting Saint Mary’s School students to participate in a parish training of altar servers. Altar servers are assigned weekend and school liturgies. Introductory training is being offered on October 19th and 24th from 2:50 PM to 5:15 PM. If your student is interested in serving in this parish ministry, please have them contact either Susan Lohr (susanlohr@gmail.com) or Ellen O’Leary (ellenkevino@gmail.com).
Snacks will be provided for those participating in the training. Parents should pick up their children from the commons adjacent to the church.
Veterans Day Recognition: In preparation for Veteran’s Day, we are asking students to honor any family member or friend, living or deceased, who has served in our armed forces. This activity can provide students with an opportunity to connect with family members in a way they never have before. Please have the student talk directly with the veteran if possible. Then have/help your child complete the attached form. Feel free to decorate the sheet in red, white and blue. Forms will be displayed in the hallway for the parishioners and families of Saint Mary’s. Please submit only one veteran per form and list all of your students’ names on each form, but feel free to submit as many veterans as you wish.
Please have students return forms to their homeroom teachers by Friday November 4, 2016. Thank you for participating in this amazing tribute to our veterans.
Sports Committee at Saint Mary’s Catholic School: If you are interested in joining our sports committee, please contact Megan Brown at smcsathletics1@gmail.com
World Mission Day: The World Mission Sunday celebration highlights the outreach of local churches through priests, religious and laity among the poor and marginalized half a world away. Life-changing help is provided to mission churches in territories covering more than half the globe. Your support of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith is vital to the missionaries serving in 1,111 dioceses throughout Asia, Africa, parts of Latin America and Europe, and on the Islands of the Pacific.
