Dear Saint Mary’s Families,
I want to once again thank everyone for their help and participation in the Gala in ways from large to small. It was a wonderful evening and a good time was had by all!
Many families have expressed that they would still like the opportunity to purchase TAG week for their child. Click here to purchase the TAG week for your child(ren). If you are the parent of an 8th grader, you can click here to purchase a memory book that your child helped create. Both options will be available through next Friday, May 4th.
Next Friday, May 4th, is a very big day for all of us at Saint Mary’s. Grandparents or Special Friends are invited to a day specifically designed for them. We want to make sure that everyone is included and feels welcome when they arrive.
Please forward this invite to your child’s Grandparents or Special Friends: Invitation to our special celebration, so that they can RSVP.
If your child’s Grandparents or Special Friends do not use the Internet, please let the teacher of your youngest child know who will be coming. Of course, last minute attendees are always welcome.
Grandparents and Special Friends should go directly to the church upon their arrival. They will be welcomed and will check in before Mass. We look forward to hosting all of our students’ Grandparents and Special Friends.
Your child’s artwork that will be displayed in the Art Show on Friday is for sale. If you would like to pre-pay for your child’s artwork, please send in a check for $26 labeled with your child’s name, teacher’s name and grade. A “SOLD” tag will be placed on your child’s work the morning of the sale. This will save you from standing in a potentially long line on Friday.
The schedule for our students next Friday is as follows:
8am – Regular school start – students will begin the day as usual
9am – Mass – students, except for JK, will be in Mass
10am – Art Show – students will be in class
10:30-11am – Program with the Principal and Refreshments in our Parish Hall/Gym/Cafeteria – students will be in class
11:00-11:25am – Classroom Visits – students will be in class

Due to the excitement and activities of the day next Friday, we will not be sending out a News Flash next week. The News Flash will be back on May 11th.

SMCS Partnering with Cornerstone Christian Church: We are still collecting Flip Flops to send to Belize until May 9th. They can be any size, color or style. Slides are also welcome. Students can turn them in to their homeroom teacher. We have currently collected 105 pairs of flip flops! Our goal is one pair for each student enrolled at Saint Mary’s – only 300 or so to go.
