Flowers and Plants for May Crowning: Students in odd grades please bring a cut flower for May Crowning and students in even grades bring a small potted plant.
Candidates for New Board Members: Wednesday, May 3 at 630pm in the Parish Hall we will hold our final PTO General Meeting. At this meeting the slate of candidates for the PTO Board for the upcoming school year will be presented for approval. We will also discuss the end of the school year, next year’s PTO calendar and answer any questions. Please plan to join us!
Nominations for open positions were taken from early March until present. Candidates were contacted by the Nominating Committee to discuss the duties of the positions. There was a decision to add a Marketing Director position to the Board as it has been deemed necessary to have someone as a point person for all PTO functions. The following slate of candidates have agreed to serve in the position listed.
The slate of candidates for the PTO Board for 2017-18 is:
Secretary– Colleen Berry, Rising 8th and 6th graders
Vice President- Kate Faraci, Rising 5th and 2nd graders
Marketing Chair- Andrew Vehorn, Rising 1st grader
Returning Board Members will be:
President, John Costain, Graduate 2017 and rising 5th grader
Treasurer, Patricia Blair, Rising 3rd grader
Fundraising Chair, Russell Riddell, Rising 6th grader

Skip the art show lines by pre-paying for your child’s framed and matted artwork. Please send in your $26 check to SMCS, labeled with your child’s name and teacher’s name. All pre-paid work will be tagged as SOLD at the show.
8th Grade Community Project: Jack Gotta, Stephen Lord, and Thomas Tucholka have designed four T-Shirts: Basketball, Volleyball, Track/Cross Country, and Monarch Pride. If you would like to order, please see the front office for an order form. Each T-shirt costs $17, you can customize the back with a name or number for an additional $2 for each. Orders will be accepted until Friday May 5, 2017.
Pokémon Club: now meeting on Tuesday from 3:00PM to 4:00PM in the middle school Religion room. The last meeting will be May 16th. Please see 8th Grade students Christopher Lee or Joey Edwards for information.
After School Care: Is in need of some items, can you help with a donation. Have you started or finished your Spring Cleaning and have an item listed below. Our ASC staff would truly appreciate your donation.
Movies (G,PG) both DVD and VHS, Radio, Magazines (Sports Illustrated, Highlight etc…), Legos, K’nex, Games (Connect Four, Brainquest, Zingo, Monopoly, Yahtzee, Mancala, Bananagrams, etc…)
